pRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Learn with

intention.

Just as no wedding is identical, our private instruction services are uniquely tailored to meet your design and experience requirements.

Group classes and workshops are fun and ideal if you're just starting to explore floral design to see what it's like. However, if you feel prepared and assured to dive in, dedicating some personal time with a florist whose work you respect is invaluable.

Introductory workshops frequently touch on just the basics of a specific floral design element, as they aim to provide sufficient guidance and practical design experience for participants to enjoy themselves rather than deeply explore a topic.

Our private lessons are tailored entirely to you and your specific requirements. We will collaborate with you to create tailored class(es) that fit your budget, timetable, and preferred emphasis.

How we customize

your learning.

Private instruction is not inexpensive. Because we appreciate this, we want to make sure you get the maximum amount of instruction, skill & inspiration out of your investment.

Rather than offering cookie-cutter courses on one subject, we take into consideration the specific subject(s) you’d like to focus on in combination with the financial & time investment you’re willing to make to create a custom curriculum just for you.

What’s included &

what to expect

We offer private instruction by the day instead of the hour, eliminating the stress of time constraints. This allows for a well-planned schedule so you can anticipate exactly what your class will entail.

Private sessions are organized by half-day, typically lasting 4 hours, with full days (8½ hours) highly recommended, including a shared half-hour lunch break.

All instruction is conducted directly with Malorie, the owner of HONEYBABY, who will incorporate the business’s sustainable design and practice principles—no floral foam and only locally sourced, seasonal materials.

Instruction days are tailored to individual schedules throughout the growing season, with availability contingent on our event calendar. Classes are held in our beautiful design studio located in a historic storefront in downtown Manchester, Michigan.

For beginners without a floral kit, we offer essential toolkits for bouquets and/or centerpieces, which you can take home after the class for an extra fee.

Additionally, we will capture some photos of your creations in our studio's natural light and send them to you afterward for your portfolio.
